Hyderabad, Feb. 20 -- The Central Government has released the third tranche of funds under the 15th Finance Commission to Telangana, amounting to Rs 387.53 crore, following the completion of Gram Panchayat elections.

With this release, the State has received a total of Rs 1,034.42 crore so far under the Finance Commission grants.

The funds are expected to provide a significant boost to rural development programmes across Telangana. They will be utilised for key works such as village infrastructure development, sanitation management, drinking water supply, installation of street lights and repairs of internal roads.
