Hyderabad, Dec. 10 -- Telangana Farmers Commission Chairman Kodanda Reddy announced on Wednesday that the Commission has recommended significant amendments to the Centre's proposed Seed Act-2025 draft, stressing that the legislation must prioritise farmers' interests over corporate seed companies.

In a statement here, Reddy said the Commission conducted extensive consultations on the draft, beginning with a meeting on December 2 that brought together leaders of various political parties, agricultural officials, scientists, farmers' associations, agricultural experts and retired officers. A second meeting was held on December 6 with representatives of seed companies to gather industry inputs.
