Hyderabad/Nashik, Jan. 20 -- A team from the Telangana Farmers' Commission on Tuesday visited Sahyadri Farms and Sam Farms in Nashik, Maharashtra, to study farmer-led processing and marketing models and explore ways to improve farm profitability in Telangana.
The commission inspected the 120-acre Sahyadri Farms campus and the 20-acre Sam Farms campus, where processing units for a wide range of agricultural produce are located.
The team visited units handling products such as pomegranate, lemon, guava, grapes, sweet lime, tomato, banana, mango, maize, French beans and pineapple. The visit focused on understanding processing, packaging, labelling and export procedures.
