Hyderabad, Dec. 29 -- Telangana has emerged as India's second-largest rice producer with an output of 189 lakh tonnes, said Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao here on Monday.

Addressing the Telangana Cooperative Conclave 2025 organised as part of the International Year of Cooperatives by the NABARD's Telangana regional office here, Tummala said the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives highlights the critical role of cooperatives in fostering inclusive and sustainable development and placing rural transformation at the core of the nation's growth strategy.
