Hyderabad, Nov. 20 -- Telangana Director General of Police B Shivdhar Reddy today announced that a large-scale 'Safe Village Programme' will be implemented in selected districts to curb human trafficking in Telangana.
The DGP made the announcement during a statewide crime review meeting conducted via video conference with police commissioners and district SPs. The review focused on serious crimes, economic offences and crimes against children.
Speaking during the meeting, the DGP said the Safe Village Programme will be taken up on a pilot basis in seven districts-Mahabubabad, Khammam, Warangal, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Vikarabad, Rangareddy and Medak.
