Hyderabad, Nov. 20 -- Telangana Director General of Police B Shivdhar Reddy announced on Thursday that a large-scale 'Safe Village Program' will be implemented in selected districts to curb human trafficking in the state.

The DGP made the announcement on Thursday during a state-wide crime review meeting conducted via video conference with police commissioners and district SPs.

The review focussed on serious crimes, economic offences and crimes against children.

The DGP said the Safe Village Program will be taken up on a pilot basis in seven districts-Mahabubabad, Khammam, Warangal, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Vikarabad, Rangareddy and Medak.
