Hyderabad, Oct. 8 -- The Drugs Control Administration (DCA) of Telangana has issued a public alert and stop-use notice after receiving an intimation from the Drug Testing Laboratory, Government of Madhya Pradesh, confirming that two cough syrups were found adulterated with Diethylene Glycol (DEG), a highly toxic substance known to cause serious health hazards.
According to the laboratory reports, "Relife" Cough Syrup, containing Ambroxol Hydrochloride, Guaiphenesin, Terbutaline Sulphate and Menthol, manufactured by M/s Shape Pharma Private Limited., Gujarat, and "Respifresh TR" Cough Syrup, containing Bromhexine Hydrochloride, Terbutaline Sulphate, Guaiphenesin and Menthol, manufactured by M/s Rednex Pharmaceuticals Private Limited , Ahmed...
