Hyderabad, Dec. 21 -- The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) today issued a public alert warning citizens about two emerging cyber threats - the Chrome Attack and WhatsApp Takeover, also known as the Ghost Pairing Attack - which are likely to occur through malicious links and fake messages.
According to TGCSB Director Shikha Goel, a Chrome Attack takes place when users unknowingly visit harmful websites or click on malicious links. These exploit vulnerabilities in the Google Chrome browser, enabling cybercriminals to steal sensitive browser data such as saved bank credentials, passwords, and personal information.
