Hyderabad, Aug. 3 -- The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has arrested 228 cybercrime offenders, including 27 women, during a massive crackdown conducted between January 1 and July 31, 2025.

The arrests were made through the bureau's seven cybercrime police stations across Telangana and in multiple other states, including Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Jharkhand.

A police statement said on Sunday that the arrests were linked to a wide range of cyber offences, from fake call centres and job scams to child exploitation and cyber slavery modules.
