Hyderabad, Aug. 7 -- In response to the heavy rainfall lashing Hyderabad and surrounding areas, Telangana Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao has directed officials to take all necessary precautions to prevent loss of life and property.

Acting on the instructions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the Chief Secretary conducted a high-level teleconference from the Police Command Control Room on Thursday evening to assess the situation and coordinate emergency response.

The Chief Secretary noted that sudden, intense rainfall had recorded up to 12 cm in parts of the city and stressed the importance of immediate action to avoid any casualties. Special attention was called to water-logging hotspots such as the IT Corridor, TV9 office, Times of Ind...
