Hyderabad, March 11 -- Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Senior Vice President G Niranjan criticised the BJP Government's notification on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), deeming it politically motivated and aimed at polarising the political atmosphere in anticipation of the upcoming general elections to the Lok Sabha.
In a media statement on Monday, Niranjan pointed out that the CAA was passed in 2019, and its enforcement has been delayed until just before the announcement of the election schedule, indicating the BJP's clear intentions.
