Hyderabad, July 9 -- Telangana Farmers' Commission Chairman Kodanda Reddy highlighted the state's critical role in the country's seed production ecosystem and the proactive steps taken by the Revanth Reddy-led government to safeguard farmers' rights.

Addressing a press conference held at BRK Bhavan today, Kodanda Reddy stated that Telangana contributes nearly 60 per cent of India's seed production, with favourable conditions making it a hub for high-quality maize, rice, and cotton seeds.

"The seeds grown here are not only used by farmers across India but are also exported worldwide," he noted.
