Nagarkurnool (Telangana), May 19 -- Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will visit Nagarkurnool district on Monday to launch the ambitious "Indira Saura Giri Jal Vikasam" scheme, aimed at improving irrigation and water accessibility in tribal and remote areas through solar-powered solutions.

Official sources said the scheme will be officially inaugurated in the Macharam village of Amrabad Mandal. It has a total budget allocation of Rs 12,600 crore.

As part of the initiative, the state government will provide a 100 per cent subsidy of Rs 6 lakh per unit to eligible beneficiaries. During the launch event, the Chief Minister will distribute solar pump sets to farmers and other beneficiaries under the scheme.
