Hyderabad, Sept. 5 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today said education alone can change the destiny of Telangana and assured that his government will strengthen public schools to make them comparable with corporate institutions.

Speaking at the Gurupoojostavam (Teachers' Day) celebrations held at Shilpa Kala Vedika, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and joined teachers for lunch to mark the occasion.

Revanth Reddy said unlike many Chief Ministers who keep finance or irrigation portfolios, he had taken direct charge of the education department "as a brother," to understand its challenges and ensure reforms.
