Suryapet (Telangana), July 14 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today declared that the ration card is not just a welfare document, but a symbol of the poor's self-respect, identity, and their primary shield against hunger.
Speaking at a massive public meeting in Tirumalagiri, Thungathurthy constituency of Suryapet district, the Chief Minister launched the distribution of new ration cards and launched a sharp attack on the opposition, particularly the previous BRS government.
CM Revanth Reddy said that while the BRS ruled Telangana for a decade, they never thought of issuing new ration cards or providing fine rice to the poor.
