Hyderabad, Aug. 10 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday made an unannounced visit to flood-affected areas in the city, inspecting colonies in Balkampet, Ameerpet's Buddha Nagar, and Maitrivanam.
The CM interacted with residents and reviewed the situation with the Hyderabad Commissioner and municipal officials. Locals at Buddha Nagar informed him that the drainage canal, which is higher than the colony road and has become narrower, was worsening the flooding.
Revanth Reddy directed officials to immediately streamline the drainage system to ensure smooth water flow.
