Hyderabad, Dec. 1 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Monday said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed all MPs to raise the issue of BC reservations in the Parliament session.

The Telangana government "is truly committed to 42 per cent reservations for BCs", he said, but the ruling BJP at Centre does not share the commitment, he added.

Speaking at the Khammam district Congress office, he said BCs must be given 42% reservation, adding that soon after the Congress government assumed power in Telangana, Rahul Gandhi had announced that a caste census would be conducted.
