Mulugu (Telangana), Sept. 23 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today demanded the union government to allocate funds to organize the prestigious tribal festival of Medaram Maha Jatara in January 2026 in the newly carved state.
The Chief Minister also urged the centre to recognize the Medaram jatara and accord a national festival status and provide adequate support to the state government to organise the event on a grand scale.
Addressing a public meeting today, the Chief Minister questioned the centre for not extending support to India's biggest tribal Jatara at the famous Sammakka Saralamma temple in Mulugu district in the state.
