Hyderabad, Aug. 6 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud on Tuesday paid rich tributes to revolutionary balladeer Gaddar (Gummadi Vitthal Rao) on his death anniversary.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister recalled Gaddar's lifelong struggle for the oppressed and his significant contributions to Telangana's cultural and political movements.

Remembering Gaddar as a "people's warrior", Mahesh Kumar Goud said the legendary singer-poet inspired generations with his songs and performances that became the voice of the downtrodden. "He stood as the voice of the oppressed and the breath of the movements. His fighting spirit was an inspiration to many activists," he said.
