Hyderabad, Nov. 29 -- BJP OBC National President and Rajya Sabha Member Dr Laxman on Friday accused successive governments, including those in undivided Andhra Pradesh and present-day Telangana, of failing to ensure justice for Backward Classes.

He alleged that no Chief Minister had genuinely worked for BC upliftment, and accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of offering only "crocodile tears" and empty promises.

Laxman criticised the present Congress government for failing to implement assurances made during the election campaign, including the Kamareddy BC Declaration. Promises of 42% reservation for BCs, sub-plan legislation, and allocation of government contracts to BCs, he said, remain unfulfilled.
