Hyderabad, Feb. 9 -- Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy expressed pride in the Centre's selection of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao for India's highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna.
In a statement here on Friday, Reddy highlighted Rao's contributions as a staunch nationalist, statesman, and multi-talented leader who laid the foundations for India's progress through economic reforms during his tenure as Prime Minister.
Reddy also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recognising Rao's services to the country.
He criticised the Congress party for not acknowledging Rao's contributions and praised the BJP for honouring his legacy with the Bharat Ratna.
