Hyderabad, Aug. 16 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary today.
State BJP President N Ramchander Rao garlanded Vajpayee's portrait at a function held at the party's state headquarters. Speaking on the occasion, he hailed Vajpayee as a visionary leader whose tenure marked India's rise as a global power, both economically and strategically.
Rao recalled the landmark initiatives of Vajpayee's government, including the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and the Golden Quadrilateral project, which revolutionized rural connectivity and national highways.
