Hyderabad, March 17 -- BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao on Tuesday hailed the party's performance in the Rajya Sabha elections, stating that winning 22 out of 37 seats marks a significant rise from its earlier tally of 12 seats.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office in Nampally, he congratulated party leaders, including Nitin Nabin and Nitish Kumar, calling the results a reflection of the BJP's growing strength in the Upper House.

Rao also criticised the Congress for supporting what he termed "biased foreign reports," referring to the USCIRF recommendations and its remarks on Indian institutions. He said it was irresponsible to rely on such reports to target organisations like the RSS.
