Hyderabad, Nov. 27 -- Telangana state BJP President Bandi Sanjay was detained by the Normal police near Jagityal on Sunday night when he was heading to Bhainsa (Nirmal district), where holding a public meeting as mark of beginning of his 5th edition of the Praja Sangrama Yatra tomorrow.
Confirming Sanjay's detention, police said the permission was rejected due to the sensitivity over the communal issues in the Bhainsa town and related law and order aspects.
Sanjay, the Karimnagar MP, has been shifted to Karimnagar police station.
