Hyderabad, Oct. 6 -- Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao today accused the Congress government of cheating the Backward Classes (BCs) by not following the proper legal process in the matter of 42 percent reservations in local body elections.
Addressing the media here, Rao said the Supreme Court had dismissed a writ petition opposing the reservations only because a related case is already pending in the High Court. "It is a natural legal process for the Supreme Court to direct petitioners to first present their arguments in the High Court. But Congress ministers created a big drama, rushing to Delhi as if they had achieved a major victory," he remarked.
