Hyderabad, May 2 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Telangana, registered 21 cases and enquiries in April this year, continuing its drive against corruption among public servants.
Of the 21 cases, 13 were trap cases, 2 each involved disproportionate assets and criminal misconduct cases, two involved regular inquiries, and an equal number saw surprise checks. A total of 20 public servants were arrested and remanded in judicial custody during the month, an ACB statement said on Friday.
An amount of Rs 5,02,000 was seized in the trap operations. In one disproportionate assets case, illegal assets worth Rs 3.51 crore were unearthed. Another DA case involving an official is under investigation, with assets estimated at Rs 13.5 crore.
