Hyderabad, Jan. 25 -- The Telangana Government has made extensive arrangements to protect the health and ensure safety of the lakhs of devotees arriving for the Medaram Jathara - set to be celebrated between January 28 and January 31.

Along with ensuring the supply of safe drinking water, implementing intensive sanitation measures, and preventing contamination of the Jampanna Vagu stream, large-scale medical and emergency services have been put in place. Traditionally holy dips are taken in the stream.

A 50-bed Super Specialty Hospital has been established at the TTD Kalyana Mandapam near the main Medaram Jathara venue.

In addition, special medical camps have been set up at 30 locations, staffed by nearly 800 doctors.
