Hyderabad, March 1 -- The rescue operation to trace the eight trapped persons, about 14 km inside the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel at Domalpenta in Nagarkurnool district, entered the final stage on Saturday.
The trapped persons could be found mostly today, as the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) team which scanned different locations in the tunnel using the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) System, traced some soft material under the debris at five locations, according to reliable sources here.
Accordingly the rescue teams headed towards the identified locations to clear the debris and silt and eventually to pull out the workers, the sources said.
