Hyderabad, July 12 -- Six members of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) from neighbouring Chhattisgarh surrendered before the Bhadradri Kothagudem district police in Telangana today. This takes the total number of surrenders in Bhadradri Kothagudem district to 300 this year, according to district Superintendent of police B.Rohith Raju.

The welfare measures being implemented by the Telangana government for the surrendered Maoists and also development of welfare schemes for tribals, provided under ' Operation Cheyutha' programme by the district police, is the main driving force behind the spate of surrenders, the SP said..
