Hyderabad, April 22 -- In a sweeping crackdown on corruption, Telangana's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday arrested multiple government officials across the state in four separate sting operations, exposing a disturbing pattern of bribery in public offices.
An ACB statement on Tuesday said that in Nagaram Municipality, Sudharshanam Raghu, Deputy Executive Engineer, was caught red-handed by the ACB Ranga Reddy unit after demanding a bribe of Rs 1.3 lakh and accepting Rs 1 lakh through two outsourced Work Inspectors, V. Rakesh and V. Suresh.
The bribe was intended to clear bills related to CC road work worth Rs 11 lakh.
