Hyderabad, Feb. 2 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday caught a Mandal Revenue Inspector red-handed while accepting a bribe in Nalgonda district.

According to a ACB statement, Mohammed Abdul Hakeem, Mandal Revenue Inspector of Gurrampode Mandal, was apprehended at around 1300 hours, in the premises of the Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) office at Gurrampode. The accused officer allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs20,000 from a complainant for extending an official favour.

The bribe was sought for processing and forwarding the complainant's application and relevant file to the Tahsildar for restoration of deleted land details pertaining to Sy.No. 225/6, measuring Ac.1.15 guntas, in the online 1-B Register (Record of Rights),...
