Hyderabad, Feb. 28 -- Anti Corruption Bureau Officials on Friday arrested
Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) Head Minister Tali Ravinder in Bhadradri Kothagudem district while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a complainant.
ACB sources said the Head Master took the bribe to process the transfer of Rs 30,000 under the Central Government Scheme Self Defence Program ( Rani Lakshmi Bhai Athma Raksha Prashikshan)".
The amount was sanctioned by the Government as an honorarium amount to her.
The Headmaster demanded the amount, on the pretext that the amount would be utilized for providing snacks and nutritious food to children, ACB said in a release here.
