Hyderabad, July 18 -- The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) secured the sixth rank, the city's highest-ever, in the Swachh Survekshan (Sanitation Survey) rankings, from among over 4,500 cities nationwide.
However in the previous year, Greater Hyderabad secured ninth rank wit '5 star' status.
The Corporation received the State Level Award as the most promising clean city of Telangana
Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal presented the award to GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan at the Swachh Survekshan 2024 Awards ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi, on Thursday.
