Hyderabad, Dec. 23 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, along with officials, inspected the Jalgam Vengala Rao (JVR) Open Mine at Sathupalli in Khammam district on Tuesday.
During the inspection, the Deputy Chief Minister enquired in detail about how the open mine is initiated, the number of layers present, the process of coal extraction, the type of coal currently available, and how the extracted coal is transported outside.
He also sought information on the power supply facilities, considering that the mine operates round the clock.
Bhatti asked officials about the number of vehicles being used, the strength of permanent and contract staff, and the method of wage payments.
