Hyderabad, March 3 -- Counting for the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections begins here on Monday amidst tight security.

Counting for the two teachers' constituencies and one graduates' segment elections held in Telangana state began on Monday. The polling for the elections was held on February 27 for the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar graduates' and also teachers' segment and the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda teachers' constituency. The Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates' constituency had recorded 70.4 per cent voter turnout while the Teachers' constituency registered 91.4 per cent.
