Hyderabad, Feb. 13 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Friday said the Congress party had registered a decisive victory in the municipal elections, securing between 90 and 94 municipalities and an undisputed majority in five municipal corporations across Telangana.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, the Deputy Chief Minister said that, according to results received so far, Congress had already won 83 municipalities and five corporations, with some results still awaited.
He said elections were held in 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations, and the party's tally was expected to rise further once the remaining results were declared.
