Hyderabad, July 20 -- Fulfilling his pre-election promise, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday announced a Rs 1 crore cash reward for Oscar-winning singer Rahul Sipligunj on the occasion of the Bonalu celebrations at Pata Basti (Old City).
Rahul, who hails from Pata Basti (Old City) in Hyderabad, rose to international fame through the song Naatu Naatu from the film RRR, which won an Oscar for Best Original Song. Recognising his achievement, the Chief Minister described Rahul as a symbol of hard work and a true inspiration for the youth of Telangana.
