Hyderabad, Feb. 8 -- The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday caught an outsourcing employee of the Telangana BC Commission red-handed while accepting a Rs 1 lakh bribe.
At 0900 hours, the accused officer (AO), Golla Srinivas, an outsourcing employee working at the office of the Chairman, Telangana Commission for Backward Classes, Khairatabad, Hyderabad, was apprehended by ACB's City Range-2 Unit. He was caught while demanding and accepting Rs 1 lakh as the first installment of a bribe from the complainant in exchange for processing a file related to the complainant's caste certification.
The accused officer thereby misused his official position and performed his public duty improperly and dishonestly.
