Bengaluru, Oct. 9 -- BJP MP Tejasvi Surya has raised serious concerns regarding the proposed Namma Metro fare revision, describing the recommended 105 per cent increase as illogical and unsupported by the data presented in the 1st Fare Fixation Committee report.

In a detailed letter addressed to BMRCL Managing Director Dr J Ravishankar, Surya called for an urgent review and correction of anomalies in the fare calculation methodology.

The report, dated December 16, 2024, and made publicly available on September 11, 2025, after intervention by the Karnataka High Court, had proposed a steep hike in fares.
