Patna, Nov. 29 -- Despite the friction between the Congress and the RJD after the INDIA bloc's defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections, the newly-elected legislators of the RJD, Congress, and Left parties unanimously elected Tejashwi Yadav as their leader in the Assembly on Saturday in Patna.
Before the Assembly's first session begins on December 1, the INDIA bloc's leaders also decided that despite their reduced numbers, the opposition would wage a strong fight, from the streets to the Assembly, on issues of public interest.
In the recent Assembly elections, the Opposition strength has been reduced to only 35 members, 25 from the RJD, 6 from the Congress, and 4 from the Left parties. The NDA commands a strong majority of 202 MLAs.
