Miramas (France), Feb. 1 -- Indian hurdler Tejas Shirse shattered the national record in the men's 60m hurdles for the second time in two weeks after clocking 7.64 seconds to finish second at the Elite Indoor Track Miramas Meeting 2025 on Friday.

The 22-year-old, who had set a new national mark of 7.65 seconds at an indoor event in Luxembourg last week, improved his own record by 0.01 seconds at the Stadium Miramas Metropole.

Shirse initially finished third in his heat with a time of 7.70 seconds before bettering his performance in the final. Spain's Enrique Llopis clinched victory with 7.54 seconds, while former world junior champion Wilhem Belocian of France secured third place with 7.67 seconds.
