Patna, Nov. 14 -- Lalu Prasad Yadav's elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, has returned to the political arena but is currently trailing in the Mahua assembly constituency of Vaishali district.

The seat, where Tej Pratap began his political career in 2015, is being fiercely contested by RJD's Mukesh Kumar Roshan and LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate Sanjay Singh, among others.Tej Pratap had won the Mahua seat in 2015 on an RJD ticket.

Mukesh Roshan is leading with 6,781 votes, while Janshakti Janata Dal's Tej Pratap Yadav is trailing far behind at 1,500 votes.

Tej Pratap was expelled earlier this year from the RJD and now contesting under his own banner in an attempt to reclaim Mahua. Raushan, the incumbent, is fighting to retain the seat amid the risk ...
