Kanpur Dehat, Nov. 9 -- A 16-year-old boy died in an accident after an explosion occurred at a local flour mill in Sargawan Bujurg village under Rura police station area, police said on Sunday.
According to police reports, the deceased, identified as Mohit, son of Sanjay, had gone to the mill to grind 10 kilograms of bajra (millet) for his 75-year-old grandfather, Santlal, on Saturday. While waiting near the running machine, a sudden pressure build-up caused the flour mill to explode.
The impact of the blast sent a heavy stone part of the machine flying out, which struck Mohit on the head. He collapsed on the spot and died due to severe head injuries. The entire incident was captured on the mill's CCTV camera.
