Dharamshala, March 22 -- On the occasion of World Water Day, a district-level NAQUIM 2.0 workshop on springshed management was organised on Sunday at the Deputy Commissioner's office auditorium by the Central Ground Water Board under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India.

The one-day workshop aimed to sensitise the Kangra district administration and stakeholders about the importance of springshed management. A large population in the region depends on natural water sources (springs) for daily use and irrigation. In view of the impact of climate change and changing rainfall patterns, detailed discussions were held among experts and stakeholders on the conservation and rejuvenation of these water sources.
