Ballia, Oct. 15 -- A school teacher, Manish Singh, died today after a high-tension electricity wire snapped and fell on him outside the Mitech Convent School in the Barauli area of Ballia district.
The accident occurred after school hours while Singh was returning home on his bike, having crossed the river bridge as per his daily routine.
According to his father, Raghuwansh Singh, Manish had been teaching at the Barauli school for only a month, having previously taught in private schools in Buxar. Due to the long distance from his village, he was staying at his elder brother's house in Buxar's Maruti Colony.
