New Delhi, July 28 -- Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's prominent IT service provider, has revealed plans to cut about 2 percent of its global workforce over the next year.

Almost 12,000 employees working in different capacities will be impacted by this restructuring decision. The IT giant cited this layoff move as part of its effort to become a "Future-Ready" organisation.
