Chandigarh, Feb. 23 -- In a significant boost to the state's industrial landscape, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday announced that Tata Steel's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ludhiana is scheduled to become operational this March.

Highlighting the scale of the project, the Chief Minister noted that this facility represents the company's largest investment in Punjab and will be its second-largest plant in India, following the iconic establishment in Jamshedpur.

The announcement followed a high-level meeting between the Chief Minister and a senior delegation from Tata Steel, led by Vice President (Long Products) Ashish Anupam.
