Ranchi, July 14 -- Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, currently serving as a Judge of Himachal Pradesh High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.

The appointment was made by the President of India in consultation with the Chief Justice of India, as part of a wider reshuffle involving elevation and transfer of Chief Justices across several High Courts.

Meanwhile, Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao, who has been serving as the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, has been transferred to Tripura High Court as its Chief Justice.
