Kochi, March 3 -- Targeted therapies are fast emerging as the leading edge in breast cancer treatment, experts said at the 'YIR Revisited - (Kerala Chapter) Breast Cancer: The Year That Was 2025,' held in Kochi.
Medical specialists at the conference cautioned that breast cancer rates are steadily rising globally and across India, with a particularly sharp increase in densely populated urban centres.
The surge, they noted, is linked to changing lifestyles, including sedentary work patterns, fast-food consumption, high stress levels, and possible increased exposure to pollutants.
