Lucknow, Oct. 14 -- union Additional Health Secretary and Co-Director, National Health Mission, Aradhana Patnaik, today said that it is the government's shared goal to make India filariasis-free by 2027.
Addressing a two-day high-level review meeting to address the goal of making India filariasis-free by 2027, the union Additional Health Secretary said, "To achieve this, all states must achieve the target of administering the vaccine to more than 95 percent of the population in front of health workers during the Mass Drug Administration (MDA) programme, which begins on February 10, 2026."The meeting was organised under the joint auspices of the union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the National Center for Vector-Borne Disease Contro...
